Vintage Look Image

Using this tutorial you'll be able to give your artworks a fashionable, vintage look.

1. Start with a new document, I'll be using this image.

2. Create a new layer and floodfill is with the colour FF001E. This is a strong red colour. Set this layer mode to exclusion.

Your image may look a bit strange now, but all will change

3. Create another new layer, and floodfill this layer with the colour 0012FF, an electric blue colour. Once again, set the layer mode to exclusion.

4. Create one last layer, and floodfill it with the colour FF1268, a bright pink colour. As with before, set this layer mode to exclusion.
What do you know? If you've done this correctly, you should now have a stylish vintage look image!

This technique is a great effect for avatars, here is what I made with it. The only change here is a couple of brushes ontop.
